Harry Newton Ross, age 80, of Water Valley, MS passed away at the Yalobusha General Hospital on Friday, July 20, 2007. Harry was born in Water Valley, MS to O. J. and Mabel Womble Ross. He was a retired USDA Inspector and a member of the First Baptist Church of Water Valley.
Visitation will be at Seven Oaks Funeral Home on Sunday evening, July 22, 2007 from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM. Funeral Services will be Monday, July 23, 2007 at 11:00 AM at Seven Oaks Funeral Home with Dr. Randy Bain officiating. Interment will be at Oak Hill Cemetery with Jason Sharp, Tom Green, Joe Ross Wright, Rick Wright, Paul McKay and Craig Williams serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers are; Stephen Ross, Carson Sharp, Collin Sharp, Stephen Roberts, "Tuffy" Williamson, Josie Simpson, Dr. Paul Odom, Rayford Edgar, Rubin Johnson, Melvin Ford, "Crip" Tyler, Bill Trusty, Wade Doolin and Dean Newell.
Harry leaves his wife Fay M. Ross of Water Valley, MS; daughter Jill Ross Sharp and husband Jason of Water Valley, MS; his son Scott Ross and wife Donna of West Point, MS; The loves of his life - 5 grandchildren, Katherine Ross, Stephen Ross, Harley Sharp, Carson Sharp and Collin Sharp.
In addition to his parents, Harry was preceded in death by one sister, Frances "Pampy" Ross Wright.
