Funeral from the Conley Funeral Home 138 Belmont St. (Rte 123) Brockton Saturday at 8 am. Funeral Mass in St. Edith Stein/St. Edward Parish at 9 am. Burial in Calvary Cemetery. Visiting hours Friday 5-8 pm.

Carmella M. (Cicoro) Fortier 99 years of Brockton died Wednesday at the Caritas Good Samaritan Medical Center after a period of failing health. She would have celebrated her 100th birthday on August 13. She was the wife of the late Joseph N. Fortier.
Mrs. Fortier was born in Brockton a daughter of the late Frank and Mary (Riccardi) Cicoro and remained a lifelong resident of the city. She was a 1925 graduate of Brockton High School and had worked in the business office of Knapp Shoe before retiring.
She loved to knit and crochet and was a talented seamstress. She enjoyed making baptismal robes for the church, fisherman sweaters for her family and items for the church bazaar. Mrs. Fortier also enjoyed ballroom dancing.
Mrs. Fortier was a member of the Senior Citizens Bowling League until the age of ninety and had been a longtime communicant of St. Edward Church.
She is survived by 3 daughters and a son Barbara Tirrell of E. Bridgewater; Marguerite Paccia of Brockton; Virginia Kendell of Florida and Paul Fortier of Brockton.
She leaves 17 grandchildren, 43 great grandchildren 6 great great grandchildren and was the sister of the late Anebelo, Richard and Evelina Cicoro. She was predeceased by 3 grandchildren
