Obituary

Harold Dwight Ford was born December 15, 1952 to the union of Bernice and the late, J. D. Ford.

Harold departed this life on Thrusday, July 12, 2007, at the age of 54, at home surrounded by family and friends.

Harold accepted Christ at an early age and was a member of First Seventh-Day Adventist Church of Huntsville, Alabama. He received his formal education from Huntsville City Schools and graduated from Lee High School. In distinguished service to his country, Harold served int he Armed Forces, where he received numerous honors during his active duty.

He leaves to cherish his memory a loving mother, Bernice Ford of Huntsville, Alabama; two children Nicholas L. Ford of Louisville, Kentucky and Melanie Sims (Monsha) of Huntsville, Alabama; three grandchildren, Jazmin Ford, Monsha Sims, Jr., and Malachi Sims all of Huntsville, Alabama; four sisters, Janet Schuck of St. Louis, Missouri, Carmen Ervin (Robert), Deborah Foster (Richard) and Pamela Scruggs (James), all of Huntsville, Alabama; one brother Rodney Ford (Elisa) of Seattle, Washington; two uncles, James Ford, Sr. (Carolyn) of New Albany, Indiana, and Joseph James of Maywood, Illinois; four aunts, Corine "Auntie" Kelly, Florence Watkins (Floyd), Joan Blondell Moses all of Huntsville, Alabama and Betty Mason of Chicago, Illinois; a best friend, Daryl Parks of Windsor, Virginia; a host of nieces, nephews, friends and many other relatives who loved him dearly.

Memorial services for Harold will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 19, 2007 from the First Seventh Day Adventist Church with Pastor Benjamin Jones officiating and Pastor Nelson Stokes as eulogist.
