Funeral from the Conley Funeral Home 138 Belmont St. (Rte 123) Brockton Friday at 8am. Funeral Mass in St. Thomas Aquinas Church, Bridgewater at 9am. Burial in St. Thomas Aquinas Cemetery, Bridgewater. Visiting hours Thursday 4-8 pm.

Marion L. (MacFaun) Montagano died Friday at Draper Rehab in Draper, Utah after a period of failing health. She was born in Brockton a daughter of the late Harry and Esther (Chamberlain) MacFaun. She was a graduate of Brockton High School Class of 1947 and had been a resident of Brockton for most of her life before moving to Draper 1 1/2 years ago to make her home with her daughter.
Mrs. Montagano had been an operator for New England Telephone for 12 years before her marriage and the birth of her children. When her children were in school she worked in the Brockton School Department cafeteria program and retired as a manager in 1998. She had worked at East Junior High, Brockton High and Hancock schools.
Mrs. Montagano had been a member and past president of the Emblem Club; member and two time past president of the Brockton Police Wives Association, a member of the Brockton Elks and had served on the Brockton Traffic Commission.
She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, sewing and making her own clothes. She’ll be remembered by her family and friends for her bubbly and out going personality.
She is survived by her 3 children Pardo Montagano, Mass State Police of Bridgewater; Peter Montagano, Mass State Police of Wakefield and Lisa McElaney of Draper, Utah, 6 grandchildren, a sister Ruth Ross of Brewster, a brother Clayton MacFaun of Florida and many nieces and nephews
She was the former wife of Albert Montagano of Brockton.
