NEW BEDFORD — Jean Donald Sampson, age 77 years, of Acushnet, died Friday July 13, 2007 at St. Luke's Hospital. He was the husband of Winona (Taber) Sampson.
Born in New Bedford, he was the son of the late William Leonard Sampson and the late Marion (Weeks) Sampson and lived in this area all of his life. He was employed many years as a machinist at Chamberlain Manufacturing Company until retiring. He spent much time working around his home and yard and was a family oriented person.
He is survived by his wife; four sons, Robert, Paul and Jean Sampson and James Costello; his brother William L. Sampson Jr.; his sister, Dorothy Ina Sampson; and ten grandchildren. He was the brother of the late Granville Chace Sampson and the late Marion Irene Sampson.
