Obituary

Linda A. Boivin, 55, of 90 Blueberry Lane died December 5, 2002 in Lakes Region General Hospital after a lengthy illness. She was born in Laconia on November 8, 1947, the daughter of the late Freeman and Mamie (Fortin) Sirles.

She was raised in the Meredith Center and Laconia area and was a graduate of Inter-Lakes High School in Meredith. Mrs. Boivin was employed for 29 years at the former Laconia State School and was a caseworker for ten years with NH Health & Human Services until she became ill in 2001.

Family members include her husband, Tom Boivin of Laconia; a daughter, Melody “Lee” Lavine of North Windham, CT; a grandson, Seth D. Lavine of North Windham Ct; two brothers, Chester F. Sirles and his wife, Trudy of Belmont and Robert Sirles and his wife, Patty of Meredith Center; two sisters Mrs. Clyde (Geraldine” Blake of Waco Texas and Mrs. George (Warneta) Russell of Meredith; several nieces and nephews.

A memorial reception was held Sunday from 2 to 5 PM at the Café De ja Vu Restaurant, 311 Court St. Laconia. Private services will be held in the spring in the Sacred Heart Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Laconia Fire Department Ambulance Service, 848 North Main St., Laconia NH 03246. David L. Furber of the Simoneau & Lambert Funeral Home, 139 Church St., Laconia assisted the family with arrangements.
