Obituary

Marion G. Brown, 89, of Franklin, died, Monday, July 16, 2007 at the Woonsocket Health Centre in Woonsocket, RI.

Born in Bellingham on December 5, 1917, she was a daughter of the late Thomas and Ethel (Gleason) Brown.

A resident of Franklin since 1983, Miss Brown had formerly resided in Washington DC from 1936 -1983. She grew up in Bellingham and attended Bellingham and Franklin schools, graduating from Franklin High School in 1936.

Retiring in 1973, she worked for the U. S. Government in the General Accounting Office in Washington DC for 35 years.

Miss Brown was a communicant of St. Mary’s Church in Franklin.

Sister of the late Catherine Brown, she is survived by two cousins, John W. Brown, Jr. and Virginia Rubrigi, both of Bellingham.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral on Thursday, July 19 at 8:15 a.m. from the Ginley Funeral Home of Franklin, 131 Main St., followed by a funeral Mass at St. Mary’s Church, Church Square, Franklin at 9 a.m. Burial will follow at the parish cemetery.

Calling hours will be held on Wednesday from 6 - 8 p.m.
