SALEM- Joel A. “Joe” Fox, 63, husband of Sandra L. (Wilkins) Fox, of Salem, died Wednesday evening, December 4, 2002, in a local nursing home following a lengthy illness.
Prior to his retirement due to illness in 1996, he was employed by Morgan Memorial Goodwill Industries in Beverly and Lynn providing occupational training for people with special needs. He was previously employed at the St Vasilios Church in Peabody.
Mr Fox was in the Army from 1956 to 1962 and served with the 298th Signal Company.
A longtime resident of Salem, Mr Fox and his wife, Sandra, were partners in business, in S.L.W. Systems of Salem, as well as in marriage.
Besides his wife, with whom he shared 16 years of marriage, he is survived by several nieces and nephews. He was the son of the late Joseph F. And Rosaleen E. (Maguire) Fox, and was predeceased by four brothers and sisters.
His funeral service will be held on Saturday, December 7, 2002, at 11 am in the Full-Spychalski Funeral Home, 84 Washington Square East, by Salem Common. Relatives and friends respectfully invited. Visiting hours are Friday, 5 to 8 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to the James R.
