METHUEN – Frances (Jurek) Woidyla age 96 died peacefully Sunday morning July 15, 2007 at her home in Methuen, MA.
Born in Lawrence, MA, she was the daughter of the late John Jurek, Mary (Slombo) Jurek, and step-mother Sophie Blasik Jurek. She attended Methuen Schools and also Holy Trinity High School. For many years she worked as a stitcher with the Monomac and Arlington Mills, and also with Davis Sportswear and Lawrence Maid Footwear.
Frances was a lifelong parishioner of Holy Trinity Church in Lawrence until its closing.She was an avid flower gardener, Red Sox and Patriots fan, enjoyed bowling, playing bingo, and loved spending time with her family especially at all the family gatherings.
The widow of Albert Woidyla, she leaves her children, daughters Eleanor Faro of Lawrence, Joyce A., Clark and her husband Daniel of Methuen, and son John A. and his wife Alice M. (Manning) Woidyla of Lawrence, MA.
1 brother Edward Jurek of Lawrence.
10 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren and several cousins, nieces and nephews.
Frances was predeceased by her brother Joseph Jurek and sister Matilda Orlando.

Family and friends may call on Tuesday from 2:00p.m. – 4:00p.m. and 7:00p.m. – 9:00p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday at 10:00a.m. at Our Lady of Good Counsel Parish/St. Thesresa’s Church 22 Plymouth Street Methuen.
