James Bell, 67, of Mansfield died unexpectedly on Friday July 13, 2007 at the Sturdy Memorial Hospital in Attleboro, MA. He was the beloved husband of Judith M. (Beal) Bell.
Born in Brookline, MA on October 7, 1939 he was a dear son of the late David and Elizabeth (Hutchinson) Bell, Sr.
He grew up in the Mission Hill section of Roxbury, was educated in Boston schools and was a graduate of Boston Trade School. He served 8 years in The U.S. National Guards.
A cabinet maker by trade, Mr. Bell had worked as a film maker at Polaroid in Waltham, MA for 35 years prior to retirement. He was also a former member of The Polaroid Softball League.
Jim enjoyed television and was a former avid bowler. A true family man, Jim’s family will always cherish with fond memories there wonderful times spent together and his charitable mannerism.
He had made his home in Mansfield for the past 28 years and was formerly of Foxboro and Waltham.
In addition to his beloved wife he is survived by his devoted and loving sons Eric J. Bell and Timothy M. Bell both of Mansfield. He was the brother of the late David Bell, Jr. and the late Thomas Bell. Also surviving are several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
Funeral services, to which relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend, will be held on Monday July 16th at 8:00 P.M. at the Sherman & Jackson Funeral Home 55 North Main St. Mansfield. Burial will be private.
Visiting hours will be held prior to the services also on Monday July 16th from 6-8 P.M. at the Sherman & Jackson Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, Jim’s family has requested that donations in his memory be made to The National Parkinson Foundation, Inc. Office of Development 1501 NW 9th Avenue/Bob Hope Road Miami, Florida 33136-1494.
