Doris R. Sutton, 86, of Derry, NH died Friday, July 13, 2007 at the Greenbriar Terrace Healthcare Center in Nashua, NH. She was born in Londonderry, NH on October 15, 1920, a daughter of the late Edward and Doris (Moody) Ramsdell. A Derry resident for many years, she had been employed at the Home Food Kitchen, of Derry and later at Klev Bro Shoe Co., also of Derry, prior to her retirement in 1985. Mrs. Sutton was a communicant of St. Thomas Aquinas Church and a member of the Ladies Auxiliary, VFW Post 1617, both of Derry. Doris enjoyed knitting and crocheting. Her husband of 65 years, James L. “Jocko” Sutton died in 2004.
She is survived by two daughters, Kathleen Nugent and her husband Fred of Derry, and Sally Sutton of Londonderry; a son, James E. Sutton and his wife, Vicky of Andover, MA; seven grandchildren; six great grandchildren; a great, great grandchild; and also by many nieces and nephews.
Calling hours were on Monday, July 16th from 4 to 7 PM in the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 15 Birch St., Derry. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on Tuesday at 10 AM in St. Thomas Aquinas Church, 26 Crystal Ave., Derry. Burial followed in the Holy Cross Cemetery, Londonderry, NH.
