DUDLEY– Walter Paholski, 92, formerly of Green Street, died Tuesday, July 10, in Lanessa Nursing Home.
He leaves 2 sisters, Emelia Aniszewski and Sadie, wife of William J. Collins, all of Dudley; nephews and nieces, grandnephews and grandnieces; and 2 cousins, Mary Kubicki and Frances Jacobson.
He was born in Dudley, a son of William and Josephine (Lis) Paholski, and lived there until moving to Lanessa in 2006.
He was an Army veteran of World War II.
Mr. Paholski worked at B & W Footwear Company for many years before retiring.
He was an active member of Holy Trinity Polish National Catholic Church in Webster. He served as a member of the church’s committee and was chairman for several years. He was a member of the Webster-Dudley American Legion Post #184 and the Kosciuszko Society in Webster.
The funeral, with military honors, will be held Saturday, July 14, from the Sitkowski & Malboeuf Funeral Home, 340 School Street, Webster, with a Mass at 11:00 AM in Holy Trinity Polish National Catholic Church, 68 Lake Street, Webster. Burial will be in Holy Trinity Cemetery. The Webster-Dudley Veterans Council will provide the military honors A calling period will be from 9:15 to 10:15 AM Saturday, July 14, in the funeral home.
