Keith H. Sims, 50, of Ocilla, Georgia, died Tuesday, July 10, 2007 at his residence.
Funeral services will be held 2 P.M., Friday, July 13, at the Ocilla Baptist Church, with, Dr. Jim Britt, and Joey Veal officiating. Interment will follow in the Ocilla Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 until 9, Thursday evening at the funeral home in Ocilla.
Mr. Sims was born July 16, 1956, in Ocilla, Georgia, to Ralph and Lena Dover Sims. He lived in the community all of his life, graduating from Irwin County High School in 1974. He attended ABAC, receiving his Associate Degree in Business. Mr. Sims was owner/operator of Custom Collision & Towing and was a former loan officer for the Bank of Ocilla. He was a member of the Ocilla Baptist Church, the Georgia Baptist Disaster Relief Team and was a member and recipient of the Director Of The Year Award in 1991 from the Ocilla-Irwin Chamber Of Commerce.
He is survived by his two sons, Cliff Sims of Ocilla and Stuart Sims of Ft. Valley; parents, Ralph & Lena Sims of Ocilla; sister & brother-in-law, Kim & David Bridges of Tifton; nephew and nieces, Rees & Lindsay Bridges of Birmingham, AL and Morgan Bridges of Auburn, AL.
