DRACUT - Alan J. Dickey Sr., 56, a resident of Dracut, died Friday July 6th at his home.
He was born in Lowell on December 9, 1950, and was a son of the late Irene (Belair) Dickey. He received his education in Lowell schools.
He had been employed for many years as a repairman by the former Astro Vending in Lowell. Prior to that he was employed by the former Merrimack Optical in Pelham, NH and the Graniville Foundry in Lowell.
He enjoyed watching football especially the Miami Dolphins, fishing, working on cars, bowling, camping, and working.
He is survived by a son and daughter-in-law Alan J. Dickey Jr., and his wife Cheryl of Pelham, NH; a daughter and son-in-law Tina M. Nutter and her husband James of Pelham, NH; three grandchildren Riley Nutter, Dylan Nutter, and Sydney Nutter, all of Pelham, NH; two brothers William Dickey Jr. of Lowell, and Wayne Dickey and his wife Claire of Nottingham, NH; the mother of his children Helene M. Dickey; and several friends, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Friends may call at the DRACUT FUNERAL HOME, 2159 Lakeview Avenue, DRACUT, on Tuesday from 5 until 8p.m.. His funeral will be held from the funeral home on Wednesday at 9a.m. followed by his Funeral Mass at 10 a.m. at St. Patrick Church in Pelham, NH. Cremation will follow.
