Barbara Mae (Gould) Baron, 68 of Norfolk and formerly of Walpole and Wrentham, died July 9 in her home following a long illness.
Born in Norwood on December 7, 1938, the daughter of late Frederick and Amy (Martin) Gould, Mrs. Baron had lived in Walpole and Wrentham for several years before moving to Norfolk where she lived for most of her life.
She was a graduate of Pondville Hospital School of Nursing.
Mrs. Baron had been a LPN at the Maples Nursing Home in Wrentham for many years and had previously worked at the Parkwell Nursing Home in Hyde Park.
She was an avid gardener.
She is survived by her daughter, Kimberly Baron of Norfolk and four sisters, Betty Nesta of CT, Marie Thorley of MD, Patricia Sullivan of Warwick, RI and Valerie Kokcinski of NC.
She is also survived by her grandson, Matthew.
Her memorial Mass will be celebrated on July 27 in St. Mary’s Church in Wrentham at 9:00 a.m. Burial will be private.
In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made in her memory to the Stony Brook Nature Center, 108 North St., Norfolk, MA 02056. Arrangements are under the care of the Ginley Funeral Home 892 Main St. in Walpole.
