Belmont-Irene Josephine Dearborn, 94, formerly of Dearborn Street died Wednesday evening, July 4, 2007 at Belknap County Nursing Home in Laconia.
Born in Belmont on August 20, 1912 where she was raised and schooled, she was the daughter of the late Levi and Celina (Roberts) Clairmont. Irene was a lifelong resident of Belmont.
Prior to her retirement Irene worked as an attendant at the former Laconia State School and Training Center. She had also worked at Belmont Hosiery, Fenwick Hosiery, Shore Diner, and the Hickory Stick Restaurant. Irene enjoyed gardening.
Irene was predeceased by her first husband Robert B. Dearborn, and her second husband Wendell S. “Dutch” Dearborn. She was also predeceased by four brothers, Wilfred, Lawrence “Bill”, George, and Joseph Clairmont, and three sisters, Regina Fortin, Eva Roach, and Evelyn Hamilton.
Irene is survived by two daughters, Roberta E. Bilodeau and Helen L Harriman and her husband Gregory all of Belmont; her brother, Romeo “Skip” Clairmont of Belmont; her sister Pauline Felker of Northfield; five grandchildren, Jeannine Poire, David Bilodeau, Kathleen Morrill and her husband Bob, and Melissa Young and her husband Bryan all of Belmont, and Brock Harriman and his wife Tina of Laconia. Eleven great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews also survive Irene.
Committal Services were held on Monday, July 9, 2007 at 10:30 a.m. at the family lot in South Road Cemetery, Belmont, NH. A celebration of Irene’s life followed at 12:00 p. m. at the Simoneau-Paquette Memorial Home, 139 Church Street, Laconia. Rev. David Beal, interim pastor of the First Baptist Church of Belmont officiated.
