TEWKSBURY: David W. Caddell, age 80, a resident of Marco Island, FL and Tewksbury, died Tuesday, July 3, 2007 at the Lowell General Hospital.
He was the husband of Eleanor (Osterman) Caddell, with whom he would have celebrated their 58th wedding anniversary.
Born in Lowell on October 22, 1926, he was the son of the late David F. and Edna (Daniels) Caddell.
Mr. Caddell attended Lowell schools, the Tilton School of Tilton, NH and Babson College of Wellesley Hills, Mass.
He served during Word War II in the U.S. Coast Guard.
Prior to his retirement, he co-owned Caddell & Byers Insurance Company of Lowell. In addition, he served as Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Butler Bank of Lowell.
Mr. Caddell was a member of the Wamesit Lodge AF & AM of Tewksbury, a 32nd degree mason, he was also a member of the Aleppo Temple Shrine of Wilmington and the Marco Island Rotary Club, where he was awarded the Paul Harris Fellow. He was a former member of the Vesper Country Club.
According to his family, he was a pilot, enjoyed golfing, tennis and salt water fishing.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by three daughters, Lauren Caddell and her husband Barry Wood of Turnbridge, VT, Linda Catalano and her husband Anthony of Tewksbury and Leanne Parr and her husband Mark of Tewksbury; six grandchildren, Andrea and Anthony Catalano, Christopher Wood, Signe Caddell-Wood, Alexandra and Victoria Parr.
At his request there are No Calling Hours. A memorial service will be held Monday, July 9th , at 2 p.m., at the Eliot Presbyterian Church, 273 Summer St., Lowell.www.eliotlowell.org
