MacAfee, of Brockton, July 4, 2007, Kenneth A. MacAfee, 77 years. Beloved husband of Diane E. (Lockwood) MacAfee. Friend and father of Kenneth A. MacAfee, II and his wife Kathleen of Needham and the late Lynda S. MacAfee. Grandfather of Dalton and Keeley MacAfee and brother of Norma Baer, Nancy Sciore and Martha Gomes.

Visiting Hours will be held in the Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont Street (Rte 123) Brockton Monday 4-7pm, with a prayer service at 6:30pm. Obituary Information

Kenneth A. MacAfee, 77 years, died unexpectedly Wednesday, July 4, 2007, at Caritas Good Samaritan Medical Center in Brockton after being stricken ill at Easton Country Club. Born in Milton, he was the son of the late Norman H. and Kathleen P. (Adams) MacAfee. He was a graduate of Oliver Ames High School in North Easton, and attended Boston University and the University of Alabama. He was a Marine Corps Veteran, who was stationed at Parris Island, SC and Quantico, VA. Following his service in the Marines he was drafted by the New York Football Giants team. He was the first football player in the NFL to hold the position of tight end and played for the NFL for six years. Following his football career he had been employed by F.C. Phillips, Inc. of Stoughton for over 20 years and Raynham Dog Track. He was a former member of the Brockton Rotary, a member of Easton Country Club and the NFL Alumni Association. He enjoyed golfing, sailing, jigsaw and crossword puzzles and was an avid reader.

He is survived by his wife of 53 years Diane E. (Lockwood) MacAfee, his son Kenneth A. MacAfee, II and his wife Kathleen of Needham, two grandchildren Dalton and Keeley MacAfee, three sisters Norma Baer of Exeter, NH, Nancy Sciore of Sarasota, FL and Martha Gomes of North Easton and many nieces and nephews. He was the father of the late Lynda S. MacAfee.
