Obituary

Meredith B. Wagner, a lifelong resident of Winchester, passed away at Woodbriar of Wilmington on July 4 after a long illness. Born in Boston, she was the beloved daughter of the late Harrison G and Marjorie (Clark) Wagner. She was a graduate of Intermont Junior College in Virginia and Boston Training School, Boston. She worked for the American Red Cross for over 26 years, serving U.S. military personnel and their families. In this capacity, she was stationed all over the world. Her most recent position was Director of Volunteers at Melrose/Wakefield Hospital, which she held for many years before retiring in 1990. Meredith was a member of the Parish of the Epiphany Church in Winchester, the Winchester Historical Society and the Mayflower Society. The sister of the late Harrison L. Wagner, she is survived by her sister-in-law Dorothy Wagner of Wethersfield, CT, a niece Susan Pugatch and her husband Gregory of East Hampton, CT, 2 grand-nephews and a grand-niece. A Funeral Service will be held in the Parish of the Epiphany Church, 70 Church St., Winchester on Monday July 9th at 10AM. Relatives and friends respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours omitted. Interment Wildwood Cemetery, Winchester. In lieu of flowers donations in her memory may be made to the American Red Cross of Massachusetts Bay, 139 Main St., Cambridge, MA 02142.
