Eleanor A. (Burke) Cawley of Readville died July 4, 2007 at her home with her family by her side. She was 84. She was the beloved wife of James M. Cawley for 68 years.
Mrs. Cawley was born in Boston and was the daughter of the late Francis and Catherine (Loftus) Burke. A homemaker, Mrs. Cawley was a graduate of Dedham High School and has lived in Readville for many years. She was a member and secretary for the Readville Senior Citizens and loved bingo and bowling.
She was the loving mother of Eleanor A. Broadbent and her husband James of Dracut, James M. Cawley Jr. and his wife Donna of Boston, Frank W. Cawley and his wife Deborah of Plainville, CT, Richard P. Cawley and his wife Barbara of Dedham, Catherine M. Livermore and her husband Brian of Woburn and Thomas M. Cawley and his wife Marsha of Dedham. She is also survived by 15 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.
Her funeral will be held from the George F. Doherty & Sons Wilson-Cannon Funeral Home, 456 High St., Dedham, on Saturday at 8:00 AM with a funeral mass in St. Anne’s Church, Readville, at 9:00 AM. Relatives and friends are kindly invited. Visiting hours will be on Friday from 4-8 PM. Interment in Brookdale Cemetery, Dedham.
