Obituary

AUBURN-Margaret K. (Sheehan) Howe, of 6 Meadow Street, died Monday, July 2nd, in Hubbard Regional Hospital, Webster. Her husband, John H. Howe, died in 1980. She leaves a daughter, Kathleen A. Liberty, with whom she lived; a brother, Thomas Sheehan of Mason, OH; her cat, Annie, and her dog, Teddy. A grandson, Kevin M. Liberty, died in 1994.

She was born in Boston and attended the University of Massachusetts-Amherst. Mrs. Howe worked in the cafeteria department for the City of Worcester School Department for many years, retiring as supervisor of the hot lunch division in 1992. She was a member of St. Joseph’s Church and was past president of the Worcester School Cafeteria Workers Union. Mrs. Howe was and avid Red Sox fan and enjoyed crossword puzzles and reading, often a book per day.

The funeral is Friday, July 6th, from O’CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue, Worcester, with a Mass at 11:30 A.M. in St. Joseph’s Church, 189 Oxford Street. Burial will be in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. A calling hour is from 10:00 until 11:00 the morning of the funeral. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Hubbard Regional Hospital, 340 Thompson Road, Webster, MA 01570.
