SHREWSBURY-Harold Conrad, 89 of 40 Barnard Rd., died Monday, Dec. 2 in the Odd Fellows home, Worcester after an illness.
His wife, Regina M. (Kenniston) Conrad died in 1993.
He leaves his son, Edward J. Conrad of Worcester; two grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren and his niece and caretaker, Frances Kinan with whom he lived.
He was born in Boston, the son of the late Wallace and Lulu (Rice) Conrad and lived many years in Roslindale before moving here in 1978. He graduated from Bentley College, Waltham with a degree in accounting.
He was an Army veteran of World War II, serving in the European theater including Italy and Sicily.
Mr. Conrad worked as an accountant for the Boston Gas Comapny for more than 30 years before retiring in 1978.
His funeral will be held on Thursday, Dec. 5 at 10 AM in the First Congregational Church of Shrewsbury, 10 Church Road, Shrewsbury. Burial will follow in Mountain View Cemetery, Shrewsbury.Calling hours at the Britton-Shrewsbury Funeral Home, 648 Main St., Shrewsbury are Wednesday, Dec. 4 from 6- 8 PM.
