DUDLEY – Patricia (McAvoy) Begreen, 72, of Pierpont Road, died Friday, June 29, 2007, in Saint Vincent’s Hospital following a courageous struggle with lung cancer.
Pat, predeceased by her husband Francis “Hank” Begreen, is survived by her four children: Deborah of Natick, Mark and his wife, Diane of Dudley, Paul of Arizona and Caroline of Salem.
Pat is also survived by her “fifth child,” Jane Bartolomei of Maine.
Pat also leaves four cherished grandchildren, Ryan and Justin of Dudley and Jeffrey and Jenna of New Jersey; four sisters, Buzzy and Barbara Bartolomei of Dudley; Ruth Johnson and Theresa Sweeney of Webster; one brother, John McAvoy of Florida and several nieces and nephews.
Pat was an incredibly strong and compassionate person and an extremely loving mother and grandmother. She was a gift to all who knew her and will be deeply missed.
Beyond her family life, Pat was employed at Cranston Print Works for many years before retiring in 1997. She will be truly missed by all who knew her.
Sitkowski & Malboeuf Funeral Home, Webster, is assisting the family. There are no calling hours. A private memorial service will held at a later date.
