Worcester- Margaret M. Sohigian, 75, died Saturday June 30, 2007. She leaves a brother, Aram and his wife Janice Sohigian of Worcester, a sister-in-law, Matilda Sohigian of Andover, a niece Stephanie Sohigian and a nephew Steven Sohigian of Andover. She was pre-deceased by a brother Vartkes Sohigian.
Born in Worcester, she was the daughter of Alexander and Berjouhi Sohigian. She graduated from Commerce High School in 1951. She was a member of the Holy Trinity Armenian Apostolic Church where at one time she was an active member serving on various church committees. Maggie was an alumni member of the Worcester chapter of the Armenian Youth Federations serving on many committees both locally and on a national level. She was employed at Norton Co. for 20 years in the Machine Tool Division and 18 years at its successor, Warner and Swasey Co. Grinding Machine Division and retired in 1985 as a Benefits Specialist. She was also employed at the Hanover Insurance Co., and retired in 1997 as a Quality Control Clerk.
Funeral services will be Tuesday, July 3, 2007 from Nordgren Memorial Chapel, 300 Lincoln St. Worcester with a service at 11:00 in Holy Trinity Armenian Apostolic Church. Burial will be in Hope Cemetery. There will be no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Holy Trinity Armenian Apostolic Church, 635 Grove St. Worcester, MA 01605.
