Mary Ellen Murray, 88, of Ocilla, died Friday, June 29, at the Osceola Nursing Home.
Funeral services will be held 11 A.M., Tuesday, July 3, 2007, at the Paulk Funeral Home Chapel in Ocilla, with Leon Christy officiating, eulogy by Clark Jones. Interment will follow in Holt Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2 until 5 Monday afternoon at the funeral home in Ocilla.
Mrs. Murray was born September 1, 1918, in Irwin County, to the late Micajah C. and Virginia Paulk Swilley. She lived in the community most of her life and worked for the A.S. Harris Department Store for more than 50 years, also she was a graduate of Ocilla High School .
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law: Barbara & Leon Christy of Conyers; granddaughter, Noel Christy McFarlin of Atlanta and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Edwin Murray.
