GILBERTE AURORE DIANA
Gilberte Aurore Diana peacefully passed away at Fairview in Groton on Friday, June 29. Aurore was born in Thil, France on May 6, 1914. She was the daughter of Nicolas and Ombellina (Ballestri) Roussy.
Aurore leaves behind three daughters, Isabelle Perry of Princeton Junction, NJ, Michelle Maguire of Palm City, Florida, and Marie-Pierre Diana of North Stonington, as well as five grandchildren, Daniel Perry, Becky Perry, Benjamin Perry, Thomas Maguire III and Rose Maguire, as well as her sister, Irene Mathieu of Audun le Roman, France. Aurore also leaves many nieces and nephews in France as well as the United States.
Aurore was predeceased by her husband Michael P. Diana in 1994 and her sisters, Pauline, Lucienne and her brother Francois.
At Aurore’s request funeral services and burial will be private. The Dinoto Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. There are no calling hours. Donations may be made in her name to Fairview, 235 Lestertown Road, Groton CT 06340 or Beacon Hospice Lighthouse Foundation, 12 Roosevelt Avenue, Mystic CT 06355.
