Obituary

WORCESTER-Walter F. Riley, 79, formerly of 306 June Street died Thursday, June 28th in Notre Dame Long Term Care Facility. He leaves a sister, Doris P. MacDonald of Shrewsbury; and several nephews and nieces. A brother, Frederick J. Riley and 2 sisters, Marguerite Trum and Eunice Chandler predeceased him.

He was born in Worcester, the son of William F. and Margaret E. (Nolan) Riley. Mr. Riley worked for the Worcester Housing Authority in the maintenance department and had previously been employed by Wyman Gordon and the Worcester Airport. He was a member of St. Charles Borromeo Church and the Knights of Columbus. Mr. Riley was a WWII U.S. Navy veteran.

The funeral is Monday, July 2nd from O’CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue with a Mass at 10:00 AM in St. Charles Borromeo Church, 341 June Street. Burial will be in St. John’s Cemetery. Calling hours are Sunday, July 1st from 2:00 until 5:00PM in the funeral home.
