Michael G. Peretti, 37, of Wellesley Hills, Massachusetts, died on June 27, 2007. A third generation Wellesley resident, Michael attended Hardy Elementary School and St. John’s Elementary School, both in Wellesley. As a youth, he participated in Wellesley Little League baseball and CYO basketball at St. John’s Church.
In 1983, Michael moved with his parents and family to Rolling Hills Estates, California. He graduated from Rolling Hill High School in Palos Verdes, California in 1987. While at Rolling Hills High School, he played varsity basketball and varsity baseball and was captain of the Varsity basketball team. He was also a National Merit Scholarship Finalist and received the National Scholar-Athlete Award.
Michael Peretti attended the College of the Holy Cross in Worchester, Massachusetts and double majored in Economics/Accounting and Political Science. He graduated Cum Laude from the College of the Holy Cross in 1991.
After college, he joined Ernst & Young in New York City and obtained his Certified Pubic Accountant designation. He later attended the F.W. Olin Graduate School of Business at Babson College and graduated Cum Laude with a Masters in Business Administration in 1996. After earning his M.B.A. from Babson, he worked for Tofias, Fleishman & Shapiro in Cambridge, Massachusetts and subsequently joined BKR International, a spin off the parent firm that specialize in mergers and acquisitions.
In 2002 he married Sheila Walsh of Marblehead, Massachusetts. Sheila is a 1996 graduate of the College of the Holy Cross.
He leaves his wife Sheila and 3-year old son, William Michael, his parents Robert and Janice (Pignatiello) Peretti of Wellesley Hills, his brother Robert Peretti and wife Patricia and their children, Robert and Adelina, of Ridgewood, New Jersey, his brother Stephen Peretti and wife Jana and their children, Italia and Nicholas, of Wellesley, his sister Jana Peretti Graber and her husband Michael of Minneapolis, Minnesota, his aunt Adele David of Wellelesy Hills, his uncle Joseph Pignatiello and his wife Connie of Boca Raton, Florida, his Aunt Marie Peretti Telepneff and her husband Rev. Gregory Telepneff of Saugus, Massachusetts, his grandmother, Mary Peretti of Wellesley, and his cousins Jeffrey David, Jessica Broggi, Allison Poirier, Dionne, Mark, Joseph, Judith and Elizabeth Pignatiello and his in-laws, Paul and Margaret Walsh of Marblehead, Massachusetts. Michael is the grandson of the late Vincent and Italia (Tiberi) Pignatiello of Wellesley Hills.
Visiting hours will be on Friday, June 29th from 4 – 8 pm at George F. Doherty & Sons Funeral Homes in Wellesley.
A Funeral Mass will be held at Saturday, June 30th at 10:00 am at St. John the Evangelist Church in Wellesley. Burial will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Needham.
