Obituary

DRACUT-Jacqueline E. "Jackie" Greenwood, 19, a lifelong resident of Dracut, died Saturday, June 23rd at home after a courageous battle with cancer.

She was born in Dracut, on August 5, 1987 a daughter of William M. and Kathleen (Silva) Greenwood of Dracut.

Ms. Greenwood attended the Cotting School in Lexington.

She volunteered at the MSPCA at Nevins Farm in Methuen.

Ms. Greenwood was an avid Red Sox fan. In her free time she enjoyed dancing jazz and ballet at Danceworks in Haverhill, shopping, bowling, miniature golf, watching movies and spending time at the Dracut Library. She was especially fond of her favorite bull dog Emma.

In addition to her parents, she is survived by two brothers, William E. Greenwood and his wife Jessica of Leicester and Collin M. Greenwood and his companion Nicole Connors of Dracut; her sister Kate E. Greenwood of Brighton; her maternal grandparents, Edward T. Silva, Jr. and Evelyn L. Silva of Malden; her aunts and uncles, Linda and Carl Palleschi of Salem, Edward T. Silva, Jr. and his wife Linda, Maureen and Phil O'Brien all of Stoneham, and Gayle and Deborah Greenwood of Malden; many great aunts, cousins and friends.

She was also the granddaughter of the late William E. and the late Irene B. Greenwood.

Friends may call at the DRACUT FUNERAL HOME, 2159 Lakeview Avenue, DRACUT on Wednesday, from 5:00 until 8:00 PM. Her funeral will be held on Thursday, from the funeral home at 7:45 AM followed by her Funeral Mass at 9:00 AM in St. Francis Church in Dracut. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery in Dracut. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her name to the M.S.P.C.A. at Nevins Farm, 400 Broadway, Methuen, MA 01844 or to the Dana Farber Cancer Institute, payable to the Jimmy Fund, 10 Brookline Place West, 6th floor, Brookline, MA 02445-7226, ATTN: Contribution Services.
