Obituary

Charles Dennis McNally of 18 Bell Street, Woonsocket, Rhode Island, and a former longtime Franklin resident, died suddenly Friday, June 22, 2007 at his home.

Born in Milford, June 6, 1957, a son of the late former Massachusetts State Rep. Charles F. McNally and Elizabeth A. (Blanchard) McNally, he lived in Franklin for most of his life until moving to Woonsocket several years ago.

He was educated in Franklin public schools, and was a retired self employed building supervisor.

He served in the US Army during the Viet Nam War. He attained the rank of Private first class, and was awarded the United Nations Service Medal, and the Good Conduct Medal. He was honorably discharged in February 1976.

His favorite past time was fishing.

He is survived by a daughter: Renee L. Barlow of Franklin; 2 sisters: Lynn A. Miller of Bristol, Rhode Island, and Elizabeth K. Sannicandro of Blackstone; 3 grandchildren: Philip M. Barlow, III, Calliroe H. Barlow, and Konur E. Barlow.

He was also the brother of the late Steven McNally.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral Thursday at 8:15 AM from the Charles F. Oteri & Son Franklin Funeral Home, 33 Cottage Street, www.franklinfuneral.com, with a funeral Mass in St. Mary’s Church, 1 Church Square, Franklin, 9:00 AM.

Interment will take place in the family lot in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Franklin.

Calling hours are Wednesday from 4 – 7 PM.
