Joan B. Coleman, a Dover resident for 47 years, died Monday June 25, 207 at the Beth Israel deaconess Hospital West Campus in Boston. She was 77.
Born in Concord, MA she graduated from Whidden Memorial Hospital School of Nursing in Everett. She worked for many years at the Newton Wellesley Hospital and had worked at the Hamilton House Nursing Home in Needham for 21 years. She was a longtime summer resident of Lake Winnepocket in Webster NH, and had traveled to Wells ME with her daughter and granddaughter for 24 years. She also enjoyed collection lighthouses.
She is survived by her husband of 54 years Robert N. Coleman, her step son Daniel Coleman of Falmouth, her sons Robert Coleman of Taunton, Mark Coleman of Sandwich and her daughter M.J. Held of Millis. She is also survived by her sisters Jane Brown of NC and Suzanne Antognoni of Carlisle and 5 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be private.
