Obituary

Anthony J. Wesalowski 94 of Newton died June 24 in the Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital in Needham. He was the husband of the late Mary (Simoni) Wesalowski who died in 1993.
Born in Needham on December 4, 1912, the son of the late Felix and Elizabeth (Kairis) Wesalowski, Mr. Wesalowski was raised in Needham and had lived in Newton for over 50 years.
He had been a crane operator for New England Concrete Pipe Company for over 26 years before retiring.
Mr. Wesalowski served in the Army during World War II. He enjoyed golfing and spending time with his son and his grandchildren.
He is survived by a son, Philip Wesalowski and his wife, Catherine of Norfolk, a sister, Blanche Sullivan of Brighton and two grandchildren, Mark and Mary Wesalowski, both of Norfolk.
He was a brother of the late Felix and John Wesalowski and Nellie Coady.
His funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday June 29 in Mary Immaculate of Lourdes Church Newton at 10:30 a.m.
Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery in Needham
Calling hours will be on Thursday from 4-8 p.m. in the Ginley-Crowley
Funeral Home 3 Barber St. in Medway. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made in his memory to the American Heart Association Box 3049 Syracuse, NY 13220.
