Obituary

WEST HOLLYWOOD, CA__ Ludmilla “Lucy” Szemetun, 51, of West Hollywood; died Tuesday, June 19, in Worcester, MA.

She leaves her husband, Pasquale Ciccone, and a daughter, Tatiana Ciccone, both of West Hollywood; and a brother, Val Szemetun of Worcester. Ms. Szemetun was born in Dijon, France, the daughter of Andrej and Halina (Cecurowa) Szemetun and lived in Worcester prior to moving to West Hollywood twenty years ago.

Lucy was an apartment manager and a licensed electrologist. She also worked for the Thomas Lavin Showroom in Beverly Hills. Besides her family and dog “Pebbles” she had many interests. Lucy’s love for her mother showed throughout her life and interests. She enjoyed Ukrainian cooking, Masterpiece Theater, interior decorating, board games and people. In her various roles, Lucy met many people. She enjoyed helping people and bringing them into her family.

The funeral will be held on Wednesday June 27 from HENRY - DIRSA FUNERAL HOME, 33 Ward St., Worcester, with a service at 7:00 pm in The Russian Orthodox Church of the Holy Resurrection, 63 Laurel St., Worcester. Burial will be private in Hope Cemetery, Worcester. Calling hours in the funeral home are Tuesday, June 26, from 6:00 to 8:00 pm. A Requiem service will be held during the calling hours.
