Nancy A. (Moniz) Cabral, 53, of New Bedford died June 22, 2007 unexpectedly at St. Luke's Hospital.
Born in New Bedford, the daughter of the late John and Elvira (Sylvia) Moniz, she was raised in Dartmouth before moving to New Bedford 15 years ago. She was a graduate of Dartmouth High School, class of 1971.
Nancy has worked in the printing industry for many years and most recently at Command Print Solutions. She will be missed by her colleagues and friends.
She enjoyed being with her family and friends and brightened all gatherings with her sunny smile and cheerful disposition. Nancy will be remembered as a loving and generous person to all whose lives she touched.
Survivors include her companion, Andrew Sousa Jr. of New Bedford; three sons, Colby A. Cabral, and his wife Elizabeth, of Exeter, ME, Marc K. Cabral, and his girlfriend Jocelynn McCarty, of New Bedford and Andrew Sousa III, and his wife Marina, of Stoughton; two sisters, Suzanne Jacobsen, and her husband Peter, of New Bedford and Barbara Sylvia, and her husband Tim, of Dartmouth; her former husband, Kenneth Cabral of Florida; her sister-in-law Kim Cabral of New Bedford; her in-laws, Lydia Cabral and Richard Martin, of New Bedford; three nephews, John Jacobsen of Dartmouth, Christopher Jacobsen and Casey Cabral, both of New Bedford; two nieces, Breanne Cabral of New Bedford and Emma Kate Sylvia of Dartmouth; her godchild, Kim Lemieux of Freetown.
She was the sister-in-law of the late John T. Cabral.
Funeral from the Saunders-Dwyer Home For Funerals, 495 Park St. New Bedford Tuesday, June 26th at 9 AM. Funeral Mass at St. Mary's Church, Dartmouth at 10 AM. Burial will follow in South Dartmouth Cemetery. Visiting hours Monday, June 25th from 4-8 PM.
