Mr. Wilfred Arthur Farrow, a life long resident of Medford and beloved husband of the late Edna Ruth (Andrews) Farrow, died at the Harborside Health Care Center in Wakefield on Friday, June 22, 2007, following a lengthy illness. He was 82 years old.
He was born in Lawrence, Massachusetts, on January 25, 1925. Mr. Farrow was a graduate of the Medford High Vocational School. He was a cabinet maker for many years and was employed by High Voltage Engineering. He was also a WWII Army Veteran and worked as a medic. Mr. Farrow was at the Battle of the Bulge. In his spare time he loved fishing with his grandchildren and enjoyed gardening. He also loved woodworking in addition to his cabinet making duties.
He will be sorely missed by two loving sons and daughters-in-law; Robert A. and his wife Mae Farrow of Idaho and Richard J. and his wife Christine Farrow of Wakefield, one brother; William Farrow of Rhode Island and seven grandchildren; Ashleigh, Cameron, Jodi, Christian and Jennifer. He is also survived by 7 great grandchildren.
His funeral service was celebrated in the Beals-Geake-Magliozzi Funeral Home, 29 Governors Avenue, Medford, Friday at 10 AM. Relatives and friends were respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours were Thursday from 4 to 8 PM. Interment was in Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.
