Philip Fox Read, 51, of 15 New London Road, Mystic, passed away June 17th at his home.
Mr. Read was born in Lehighton, PA on August 30, 1955 the son of Michael D. Read of Mystic and the late Mary (Fox) Read. Raised in Pennsylvania, he attended the Haverford School and Philips Academy in Andover, MA.
Philip sang in the Calvary Church choir for several years and was employed as Dodson’s Boat Yard in Stonington for 15 years. He enjoyed oil painting and playing the guitar.
In addition to his father, Mr. Read is survived by his brother, Michael Read of Kawai, Hawaiian Islands.
A Service will be conducted at Calvary Church, Stonington on Thursday, June 28th at 11am.
