Obituary

WEST BROOKFIELD__Michael “Carl” Falish, 70, of West Brookfield, formerly of Worcester, died Tuesday, June 19 in his home after an illness.
He leaves his son, Michael H. Falish and his wife Billie Jean with whom he lived; a daughter, Stefanie A. Gannon and her husband David, of Stafford Springs, CT; two grandchildren, Kyle and Ashelyn Falish, both of West Brookfield, and two nieces. He was predeceased by a brother, Richard M. Falish. He was born in South Grafton, son of Michael Jan and Antonia Marie (Osak) Falish “Falacz“ and lived in South Grafton until 1954.
Mr. Falish was a design draftsman 35 years for Cincinnati - Milacron Heald Machine Division before retiring in 1992. He also worked for Wal-Mart as a maintenance man until 1999. He attended Grafton High School prior to attending technical school. He was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Church, Worcester. Michael enjoyed spending time with his family and was devoted to his church. He also enjoyed designing and building.
The funeral will be held on Saturday June 23, from DIRSA-MORIN FUNERAL HOME, 298 Grafton St, Worcester with a Mass at 10:00 am in Our Lady of Lourdes Church, 1290 Grafton St., Worcester. Burial will be in St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Northbridge. Calling hours in the funeral home are Friday June 22, from 5:00 to 7:00 pm.
