Annie M. (Goldrick) Porter, 96, of Mattapoisett died Tuesday June 19, 2007 at Sarah Brayton Nursing Care Center.
Born and raised in New Bedford, the daughter of the late James F. and Ethel (Borden) Goldrick, she lived in Lynn, Acushnet, New Bedford and Mattapoisett the past 25 years.
Mrs. Porter was formerly employed by the Wamsutta Mills and the Acushnet Process until her retirement.
She was a former member of the Mattapoisett Council on Aging and the Guard of Honor Society of St. Lawrence Church. She was a graduate of New Bedford High School, Class of 1928.
Survivors include three sons, Albert M.P. Porter, Jr., of Dartmouth, James R. Porter and his wife Marguerite of Fall River, and John D. Porter of Shelton, Conn.; a sister, Ethel M. Chase of East Providence, RI; eight grandchildren, Albert M.P. Porter III, Timothy Porter, Jane Rousseau, Jeremy Porter, Kevin Porter, Andrea Porter, Karen Porter, and Douglas Porter; and eleven great-grandchildren.
She was the sister of the late William, Everett, Robert, Edna, and James F. Goldrick, Jr.
Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday at 10 AM in St. Lawrence Church. Burial will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery, Westport.
