Salem: Margaret F. (Fournier) Lavoie age 75 of Salem, died Sunday, June 17, 2007 at the NSMC / Salem Hospital following a brief illness. She was the wife of the late Joseph G. Lavoie.
Born and raised in Salem, she was the daughter of the late Joseph F. and Gertrude E. (Cahill) Fournier. Margaret was not only a life long resident of Salem but was born in the house she was to live in throughout her life. She was a graduate of St. Mary’s Elementary School in Salem and St. Mary’s High School in Lynn. She was a life long member of the Immaculate Conception Parish and loved walking, bowling and bingo.
Margaret is survived by a son Joseph R. Lavoie of Salem, a niece Diane Currie of Peabody and several cousins and friends. She was predeceased by her sister Elizabeth Cooper.
Relatives and friends are invited to her funeral on Saturday, June 23, 2007 at 9 am from the Levesque Funeral Home, 163 Lafayette St., [Rt. 114 / 1-A] Salem followed by her funeral mass in the Immaculate Conception Church, Hawthorne Blvd., Salem at 10 am.
