Helen M. Perdigao, 74, died at the Southeast Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Easton on Tuesday, June 19 after a lengthy illness. She was the daughter of the late Anthony and Eva (Meniz) Perdigao. Born in Stoughton, she was a longtime resident of Stoughton and also lived in Brockton for 7 years several years ago. She was a stitcher at Cable Sportswear in Stoughton, Picento Sportswear and McIntosh both in Brockton for several years before being an office worker at Hills Department Store in Canton. She retired 9 years ago. Miss Perdigao was a member of the International Garment Workers Union. She was a member of the Mass. Catholic Woman’s Guild at Immaculate Conception Church in Stoughton and worked Bingo at the church for 26 years. In her free time she enjoyed knitting and crocheting.
Miss Perdigao is survived by her brother, Daniel T. Perdigao and his wife Barbara M. (Richardson) of S. Easton and her nephews, Scott Perdigao, his wife Suzanne and their children Holly and Noah of Acushnet and Mark Perdigao of CA.
Funeral will be held from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rt. 27) Stoughton on Saturday, June 23 at 9 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at St. James Church, Stoughton at 10 AM. Visiting Hours Friday 5-8 PM. Burial will take place at Immaculate Conception Cemetery in North Easton.
