Florence M. (Remy) Bouchard, 88 of Yarmouthport, formerly of Medway and Dedham died June 19 at Eagle Pond Nursing Home in Dennis. She was the wife of the late Benoit Bouchard who died in 1966.
Born in Fall River, September 28, 1918 the daughter of the late Arthur and Rose (Bouffard) Remy, Mrs. Bouchard was raised in Fall River and had lived in Dedham for 25 years before moving to Medway where she lived for 25 years before moving to Yarmouthport 2 years ago.
Mrs.Bouchard had been an office clerk for the Bradlees Department Store administrative offices for 25 years before retiring at the age of 62.
During the 1930’s, she had been a hairdresser in Fall River and Jamaica Plain.
She was a member of the Riverdale Improvement Association, the Medway Council on Aging and loved to square dance.
She was a member of the Wheel & Deal Square Dancers of Dedham and the Spares n Squares of Dorchester.
She is survived by her daughter, Geraldine A. Chambers of Yarmouthport.
She was the mother of the late Raymond P. Bouchard and sister of the late Raymond Remy.
She is also survived by her grandchildren, Michael P. Lydon of Hopedale and Heather M. Lydon of Clinton Township, Michigan and great-grandchildren, Amanda, Lily and Zoey Lydon.
Her funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday June 22 in St. Joseph Church, Village Street Medway at 10:00 a.m.
Burial will be in Knollwood Memorial Park in Canton.
Visitation will be on Friday from 9:00-9:45 a.m. in the Ginley Crowley Funeral Home 3 Barber St. in Medway.
