Obituary

Belmont-Isabella Mae Reed, 80, of Sargent Street died Sunday morning, June 17, 2007 at Lakes Region General Hospital after a period of declining health.

Isabella was born in Laconia on April 19, 1927, the daughter of the late Albert and Stella (Brake) Allard. She had been a lifelong resident of Belmont. She attended St. Joseph Parish in Belmont. She found much enjoyment as an avid Bingo player.

Prior to her retirement Isabella was employed at the former Laconia State School and Training Center assisting residents in their daily lives and activities.

Isabella is predeceased by her husband, Harold L. Reed, a daughter, Linda A. Shute-Davis who died this past May; two brothers, Robert and Albert Allard; and one sister, Shirley Danforth.

Isabella is survived by her children, Donna Marden of Gilford, Brenda Legassie and her husband Dick of Belmont, Thomas Reed and his wife Rhondi of Belmont, Michael Reed and his wife Pamela of Belmont, Marsha Harnish and her husband Stephen of Tulsa, Oklahoma, and Debra Reed and her companion Dan Allen of Andover, NH, a sister Delores Blanchard of Keene. 13 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, as well as many niece and nephews also survive Isabella.

Visiting hours were held on Friday June 22, 2007 from 5:00-7:00 p.m. at the Simoneau-Paquette Memorial Home, 139 Church Street, Laconia. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Saturday June 23, 2007 at St. Joseph Parish, 96 Main Street Belmont at 10:00 a.m. Burial will take place at a later date in the family lot at South Road Cemetery, Belmont.
