Amelia F. Ryan, 87

Amelia F. (DeLauri) Ryan, 87, of Norton formerly of Foxboro and Mansfield died on Sunday June 17, 2007 at the Charlwell House in Norwood. She was the beloved wife of the late Leo G. Ryan to whom she was wed to on October 12, 1959 and who passed away on April 3, 2004.
Born in Mansfield, MA on April 20, 1920 she was a loving daughter of the late Joseph and Mary (Cutillo) DeLauri.
She grew up in Mansfield and was educated in Mansfield schools. Mrs. Ryan was a retired Assembly Worker having worked at the Foxboro for over 20 years before retiring. She had formerly worked for the former S.W. Card Co. in Mansfield.
She was a communicant of St. Mary’s Church in Mansfield. Her hobbies included crocheting, playing cards and when younger she enjoyed bowling. Her family will always recall with fondness her excellent cooking skills. No one ever left her table hungry. She had lived in Norton for 30 years and was formerly of Foxboro and Mansfield for most of her life.
She was the dear sister of Florabelle “Flo” Ferrara of Plainville and the late Nicholas DeLauri and the late Philip Delauri. Amelia is also survived by her many cherished nieces and nephews.
Her funeral, to which relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend, will be held on Thursday June 21st at 8:00 A.M. from the Sherman & Jackson Funeral Home 55 North Main St. Mansfield followed by a Mass of Christian burial celebrated at 9:00 A.M. in St. Mary’s Church, 330 Pratt St. (Route 106) Mansfield. Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Mansfield.
Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday June 20th from 4-8 P.M. at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers Amelia’s family has requested that donations in her memory be made to SNCARC Parents Association for Special Needs Athletes 789 Clapboardtree St. Westwood, MA 02090.
