Linda J. (Healey) Walker, 89 of Melbourne, Florida, formerly of Framingham and the Sheldonville section of Wrentham died June 16 in Palm Cottages in Rockledge, Florida. She was the wife of the late William B. Walker.
Born in Walpole, June 28, 1917 the daughter of the late Francis D. and Linda J. (Lang) Healey, Mrs. Walker was raised in Sheldonville and had lived in Framingham for many years before moving to Arizona where she lived for 18 years before moving to Florida 4 years ago.
Mrs. Walker had been the switchboard operator at Cushing Hospital in Framingham for many years.
She is survived by her son, John R. Walker of Merritt Island, Florida and her daughters, Tamara Tiernan of Franklin and Linda Nelson of Alpharetta, Georgia.
She is also survived by 8 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
She was the sister of the late Francis Healey.
Her funeral service will be held on Saturday June 23 in the Ginley Funeral Home of Franklin, 131 Main St. in Franklin at 10:00 a.m.
Burial will be in East Walpole Cemetery.
Calling hours will be on Friday from 6-8 p.m.
