Mrs. Arcie Brister Wood, age 96, of Water Valley, MS died Saturday, June 16, 2007 in the Yalobusha General Hospital in Water Valley. The daughter of John W. Brister and Betty Brister, she was married to the late Freddie Earl Wood (September 30 2002 ) and was a member of the Church of Christ in Water Valley. Arcie was a retired Beautician and a housewife.
Visitation will be at Seven Oaks Funeral Home on Sunday evening, June 17, 2007 from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm and funeral services will be held at Seven Oaks at 2:30 pm on Monday, June 18, 2007. Interment will follow at Salem Cemetery in Yalobusha County with Gerald Rippee, John Wood, Tommy McCain, Sammy Edwards, David Wood and Travis Brooks serving as pallbearers. Honorary Pallbearers are; Mike Redwine, Dr. Joe Walker, Ray Eubanks and Harvey Milam.
Mrs. Wood is survived by a large host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
