Obituary

Joseph S. Pirrello passed away on June 15, 2007. He was 81 years old.

Born in East Boston, Joseph was a long-time resident of Brockton and Malden. He was a U.S. Navy veteran having earned the rank of Seaman 1st Class. After the Navy, he worked in the clothing industry as a machinist foreman. He was also a former member of the D.A.V. Club of Brockton and Malden.

Joseph was the husband of the late Marie (Martino) Pirrello. He was the dear brother of Lucy Scolastico of Malden and her late husband James, Mary Verro and her husband Pat of East Boston, Phillip Pirrello of Belmont and his late wife Eleanor and the late Ciro Pirrello. He was the brother-in-law of Harriett Ciro of Centerville and the cherished uncle of Mary Ann Iannacci and Christine Lilly both of Malden. Joseph was also survived by many nieces, nephews, grand-nieces and grand-nephews.

The Funeral will be held from the A. J. Spadafora Funeral Home, 865 Main Street, Malden on Wednesday, June 20th at 8:00 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in the Immaculate Conception Church, 600 Pleasant Street, Malden at 9:00 a.m. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours are Tuesday, June 19th from 4-8 p.m. Interment MA National Cemetery, Bourne. In lieu of flowers, donations in Joseph’s memory may be made to the Bedford VA Hospital, c/o Voluntary Services for Unit 78C, 200 Springs Rd. Bedford, MA 01730.
