Roger Graham Seymour, of Winchester, passed away on June 15th following a long illness. Born in Newton, he was the son of Barbara (Newey) and the late Graham Seymour. Raised and educated in Newton, he attended Northeastern University, where he received his bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, and assumed a long career in electronics.
In his spare time he enjoyed a variety of activities, as long as they involved strenuous and rhythmic movement. Roger found pleasure in dancing, bike riding and skiing. A music-lover, he appreciated classical, blues, jazz and Zydeco music. As a member of the Blues Society, he loved to attend Blues festivals.
Roger was the husband of Paula M. (Mitchell). He also leaves behind his children, David of Maggie Valley, NC, Jane T. of Vernon, CT, and Edward Seymour of Rindge, NH,. He was the dear brother of Leroy of Needham and Gail Babb of Stowe, and the devoted uncle of Jessica and Melissa Babb, Lisa Jameson, Lee Seymour, Jr., Larry and Lloyd Seymour and Lynne Ercolini. A Funeral Service will be held in the Costello Funeral Home 177 Washington St. Winchester on Wed., June 20 at 10:00 AM. Relatives and friends respectfully invited to attend. Visiting Hours will be held on Tues. from 4-8PM. In lieu of flowers, donations in Roger’s name may be made to the American Lung Assoc. of MA, 460 Totten Pond Road – Suite 400, Waltham, MA 02451.
