Susan A. Day, 64, of Greenbrier Road, Greenville, a real estate agent before retiring, died Saturday, June 16, 2007 at her home. She was the wife of David L. Day. They had been married for 45 years.
Born in Auburn, NY, she was a daughter of Alice (Steigerwald) Merritt of Auburn, NY and the late William Merritt. She had been a resident of Greenville since 1977.
She was a real estate agent for twenty years and had worked for RE Max Preferred in North Providence and Coldwell Bank in Smithfield.
Besides her husband she is survived by a daughter Mindy Hart and her husband, James of Greenville, two sons David J. Day and his wife Marina of Racine, WI, and Jeffrey W. Day of North Smithfield, her grandchildren Devon and Delaney Day and Samuel, Jacob and Riley Hart and her siblings Sally Merritt Swart and her husband Jacques of Little Compton and William Merritt and his wife Judy of Auburn, NY.
Mass of Christian Burial to which relatives and friends are invited will be held Tuesday at 9:30am in St. Philip Church, 622 Putnam Pike, Greenville. Visitation Monday 4-7pm. In lieu of flowers donations in her memory may be made to Home & Hospice Care of RI, 169 George Street, Pawtucket, RI 02860 or the American Cancer Society, 931 Jefferson Boulevard, Suite 3004, Warwick, RI 02886.
