Norman C. Gifford, 85, of St. Cloud, FL formerly of Westport, passed away Wednesday, June 13, 2007. He was the husband of Shirley (Mosher) Gifford.
Born in Westport, a son of the late Walter and Dellaphine (Kirby) Gifford, he had lived in Westport for his entire life until moving to Florida 15 years ago. Prior to retirement, he was the owner / operator of Norman C. Gifford Sand & Gravel Company in Westport and also owned / operated school buses in Westport. Mr. Gifford served on the Board of Health and worked as a Tree Warden for the Town of Westport. He was a past president of the Fall River Rod & Gun Club.
Including his wife, he is survived by a son: David Orr of Westport; 4 daughters: Norma Couture of Plant City, FL, Donna Jones of Hudson, FL, Bonnie Candeias of Lakeville and Lori Dupont of Swansea; 2 sisters: Hazel Cahill of Middletown, RI and Evelyn Norman of Westport; 9 grandchildren; 1 great grandson; a very special great granddaughter: Callie; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral to which relatives and friends are invited will be Saturday, June 23, 2007 at the Potter Funeral Home at 10:00 A.M.

Interment in Maple Grove Cemetery, Westport.
