Obituary

Gerald F. Lennerton,88, of 64 Pine St., died Thursday, June 14 at
home following a long illness.
He leaves his wife of 66 years, Rita A. (Williamson) Lennerton, three
daughters Ann M. wife of Harry R. Blaisdell, Jr. of E.Brookfield, Susan E.
Lennerton of Worcester, Joan F. wife of Russell D. Whitney of Leicester, a
brother J.Donald Lennerton, Sr. of Leicester, two sisters Helen Wehter of
Hingham, and Ruth Lennerton of Braintree, four grand children Debra Ritzer,
Laura Whitney and Marc Whitney all of Leicester and David Blaisdell of New
Braintree, two great grandsons Zachary Mahan and Gabriel Blaisdell, nieces
and nephews.
Mr. Lennerton was director of marketing for the former No. American Pipe
Products Co. in Northboro, where he worked for 15 years, before retiring in
1990.
Born in Dorchester, he was the son of Leander and Mary Ellen (MacDonald)
Lennerton. He graduated from Leicester High School where he was a four sport
athlete and later attended Becker College in Worcester. He once played semi
professional baseball in Worcester.
Gerald was an Army veteran of WWII serving with the 100th. Infantry in
France. He was awarded the Purple Heart.
The family wishes to acknowledge the compassionate care given by David
Lyons, M.D., Kelly Pickett, RN and Ellie Bell-Home Health Aide.
Private funeral services and burial with Military Honors in Pine Grove
Cemetery, Leicester will be held on Saturday. There are no calling hours. In
lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to UMASS Memorial Hospice, 650
Lincoln St., Worcester, 01605. MORRISON-MORIN FUNERAL HOME, 1131 Main St.,
Leicester is directing arrangements.
